ScholarTrack ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users, including students, school districts, educators, and parents. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and mobile data.

1. Text Messaging & Mobile Privacy

We respect your mobile privacy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with or sold to any third parties under any circumstances.

Message Frequency: Messaging frequency is based on student behavior. Good standing student behavior will rarely generate a text message; however, students with behavioral issues could generate in excess of 10 text messages in a month.

Message and Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you.

If you opt in to receive SMS text notifications from ScholarTrack, your phone number and consent details are used solely to deliver requested updates, security alerts, and tracking notifications.

ScholarTrack strictly complies with student privacy laws and educational data standards:

FERPA Compliance: Student education records and PII are kept strictly confidential. We act as a school official with legitimate educational interests when operating under district agreements.
COPPA Compliance: We do not intentionally collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable consent from a parent, legal guardian, or authorized school administrator.
No Targeted Advertising or Data Mining: We NEVER use student PII to build commercial profiles, display targeted advertisements, or sell student data to third-party brokers.
Data Ownership: School districts and individual users retain full ownership of their PII and educational data.

4. How We Protect & Store Your Data

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures, including end-to-end SSL encryption in transit, strict database access controls, and regular system audits to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration of PII.

5. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain PII only as long as necessary to fulfill educational tracking services or comply with legal obligations. School districts or individual users may request complete deletion of their account and associated PII at any time by emailing support@scholar-track.com.
